KWPN stands for Koninklijk Warmbloed Paard Nederland, a Dutch warmblood horse breed. The Dutch horse is a modern sport horse derived from the selective breeding of German, French and English horses crossed with the native Dutch stock. Many modern Dutch warmbloods have Arabian and Thoroughbred blood. Dutch warmblood horses are famous for their character, soundness and athletic ability, and have consistently placed at the top of the world rankings for jumping and dressage.
